Hi, I’m Eirik.

I’m looking for a position on a high-country station in New Zealand — somewhere I can work hard, be useful, and become part of everyday station life.

2-minute introduction

A quick introduction from Norway

I will add a short introduction video here after filming in Lofoten, Norway.

About me

Practical, reliable, and used to outdoor life.

I’m a 29-year-old Norwegian with a background in auditing, but practical work and the outdoors have always been part of my life.

I grew up around English Setters, and I’ve spent much of my free time hiking, camping, hunting and fishing.

I have renovated my own house alongside family members who are carpenters, and I’m comfortable with physical work, tools, maintenance and learning from people who know more than me.

Before arriving in New Zealand, I’ll be travelling independently through China, Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia with camping gear.

What I can offer

Useful qualities for station work

Reliable worker

Used to responsibility, long days and doing work properly from my years in audit and earlier jobs.

Practical experience

Hands-on renovation experience from working on my own house and several other projects with my family.

Outdoor background

Comfortable hiking, camping, fishing, hunting and living simply in changing weather.

Animal-friendly

Grew up around dogs and love being around animals. Calm, patient and keen to learn stock work.

“I’m not looking for the backpacker party scene. I’m looking for a place where I can work hard, be useful, and settle into rural station life for several months.”
